This picture is a few years old. One day I shall get a newer one.

I started online at the very end of 1997. I didn't start marketing 
until almost a year later.  

I came online to find a chatroom! I had an old dx66 that didn't even 
have the start button in view! 

In the chatroom, I learned some computer skills and after battling 
sound wavs, icq, and surfing, I saw opportunity. It was everywhere 
that I turned. 

I signed up for every affiliate program that was free that I could 
get my hands on.... soon I started learning about how to advertise them for free, of course. I didn't have much spare cash.  AND, guess 
what? I wasn't making any spare cash either. 

One day, I decided I had to do what it takes to do what needed to 
be done. I had learned so many things about the computer, how 
to make folders, copy and paste, build free sites, set up my 
email it was apparent that I needed to get my own domain  
name. 

And, well, it is now 2004. Things are way different. I make a very 
nice living working at home, I get to help others in their struggles, 
and I keep an eye out everyday for new things, new trends and 
try to keep up with it all. And, I try to find time to write, as that 
is my passion. 

On a personal note, my life's career has been being a mother 
of three sons, now the youngest, 21, is at college, the other 
two married, and I have been supporting myself since I was 15 years old, working jobs such as waitressing, real estate, ballroom dance instructor, secretarial, freelance writing,  even janitor services. My last job was working for a "cranky" real estate appraiser, and I knew that was going to be the last job I ever had working for someone else.  

Did I mention I am a grandmother - My grandbabies.

I have several college credits; however no real certificate in  
teaching anything except my ballroom dance instructor certificate 
and my bridge teacher certificate and I let my real estate license 
expire, as I knew I would never make a salesperson.  It didn't appear 
to be in my nature. 

Can you believe that? Who'd have known that selling is just 
the sharing of things you like.  Most people are sales people and 
don't even know it, like I didn't know I was. 

I also knew I have never been paid what I am worth as an  
employee, that is until I became my own boss -) 

I love karaoke, gardening, parenting, giving advice, marketing, 
my computer, dancing, bridge and chess.
