Re: (Learning about eCourses

The Nitty Gritty on eCourses
You have probably seen eCourses on
the net. You may have even signed up for one or more yourself. However,
you may not know what is going on behind the scenes and the value in having
an eCourse.
So, first, let's discuss what
an eCourse is:
An eCourse is lessons by email.
They usually go for an odd number of days such as 3 days, 5 days, or 7
days. Some are shorter and some are longer depending on the content.
The purpose of an eCourse is to teach
a subject, gain email addresses and clientele who are interested enough
in what you have to present in your eCourse for them to sign up.
That's the point. You want
people to sign up. Once they sign up for your eCourse, you can now
relax and let them read for a few days, or all of the days. At the
end of each days lesson you will leave a resource box, to sell them your
product, or membership service or refer them to a related affiliate program.
To do these lessons by email, you
need an autoresponder that sends out messages per your set up instructions.
You certainly don't want to send them out each day by hand. That takes
too much time and effort on your part.
Now, the trick is to get them to
sign up. They need the interest in your subject. Curiosity is a wonderful
thing that each of us have. It is that same Curiosity that will capture
the cat. So, to do this you need to make your presentation
of your eCourse exciting. It has
to have a powerful headline and put in enough juicy information to reel
them in.
Why are we sending out a course over
days, rather than giving them it all at once? That's easy.
It takes 7 times for a potential customer to hear from you, or be at your
site, or look over your product, before they purchase.
An eCourse helps you keep your potential
customer reading and seeing your name day after day, for as long as the
course lasts. It creates trust; trust creates sales.
When you use powerful words, then
add an enticing graphic cover, plus top it off with a disclaimer
that their email will not be abused, and that they can opt-out at a click
of a button, they will sign up. Some marketers even promise a related
eBook that they will get for a download
when they sign up. The goal is to create a strong customer relationship,
but before you can create that great relationship, you need to get them
signed up.
Sounds great so far. You have set
up a wonderful eCourse for your potential client and you are now advertising
to bring your visitors to your site.
But, it doesn't stop there.
They gave you your email, now it is your responsibility to give them what
you promised, and some! When you give what you promise and add to
the promise, you will gain the respect of your readers.
That respect will bring you customers
and will eventually make you sales. They will remember who sent them
those valuable lessons, and when you do it properly, your readers will
be on your weekly list.
