The Truth About Marketing - by Teresa King

Are you interested in making money on the net? I mean really interested.
Or are you just plugging along - joining one program after another with
wild dreams of bathing in money?

This article is here for people who are serious about making money and
would like to save hours of time by taking my experiences and utilizing them
to make money.

This article will cover search engines, Free For all Link Pages, classified ads,
auto responders, marketing techniques, headlines, advertising and the tools
you have or will need to improve your advertising campaign.

But first we need to know what sells and what does not sell on the net.

We need consumable products that will be used over and over.  And, we need
marketing skills to sell those products.  That is what is needed to make money.

We need repeat customers who are satisfied and will continue to not only purchase
from you again, but will recommend your services to a friend.

And, we need a product that is guaranteed for satisfaction. 

With this in mind- pick a company that you trust. Choose a company that has
integrity stamped all over it. Okay, now that you have done that.  Let’s market it.

TOOLS

You need tools to market.  You need search engine placement; you need an FFA page,
you need to know how to write thank you letters and headlines.  You need a company
that you can stick with that has a forum with people who are good at marketing.

You need auto responders - so that people can receive instant help from you, whether
you are online or not. You need a web page - for net presence.  You need a domain
name that is easy to remember. And, you need testimonials.

Are  you still serious about marketing? 

Right now, I wish I knew a generous person like me,  back then, and had found a page like this one.  Then, maybe I would not have had to waste so much time getting to where I am now.  Or, who knows? Maybe had I known I needed all of the above mentioned things, I would have quit before I even started. 

Every new business in the “real world” has 80 percent chance of failure. That is very high
odds. So, why wouldn’t net marketing have the same odds of survival? No business will make it without some kind of advertising. And, advertising costs money. That is the bottom line.  Sure there are lots of free things on line to help you with your business and yes, at the end of this article, I will send you to some.

But, you need tools.  And, you don’t need to make a huge investment.  One tool that you need
is a marketing support group.  A group that has many of the tools that you need inside their site.
It is in expensive and it has FFA pages (free for all pages) are one  the one non spam way of getting your email out to people.  They submit using a blaster or a submit wolf.  They have never
been to your site.  When they submit,  you send them a thank you letter. 

That thank you letter will be read by some and trashed by others. Some are already going automatically to trash,  but thousands of them are not going to the trash and that is when your headlines must sell - to, at least, get them to open the email.  Then to follow through to click to your site.

If you are on a limited budget, you may have to start out slowly.  But, you will to be prosperous
have to spend some. The old adage, “it takes money to make money” is very true.  But, fortunately, it doesn’t take a fortune.

You need your own domain name ---$13.50 - a web host around 15.00 a month.  So, around 18.00 per month, you will have your own website. There are places that charge more
for service - you can follow my referrals off my hosting service, which at this writing
is full, but we still have a service department for people who need help, web editing
and other things they may need.

You need to own a FFA page.  You can get free ones, but most of them break down. Or don’t 
get accepted into the data bases.   To get into data bases - I will send you to some free ones, but
I highly recommend parting with $9.95 to get it done for you and to be submitted into over 150 
data bases.

This is the site that I recommend for you to join and be part of. In the site (a one time fee - less than $40.00 USA dollars at this writing) you will learn about marketing.  The basics.

And, then there is the forum -- with expert advice - all you need to do is post and ask.  Or help someone with what you know.   And, we are not done yet on this new site.

Now, do we spend money on classifieds?  Is it worth it?  Hmmm, do you read classifieds? I don’t. I am sure some people do.  So, if you are going to put ads in classifieds, let me recommend that you go to yahoo.com’s free classifieds and post there.

Many times people ask me to evaluate their website.  I go in and look at how fast it loads
and how the graphics look - then I look to see what their source code is and if it is in.
Many new marketers do not have their meta tags in.  It is a huge mistake.  It does not cost
money to put meta tags in. Again, go to my easy marketing page and scroll down until
you get to meta tags.

Now, search engines.  My goodness, there are millions upon millions of sites in the search engines, anyone who promises you top listing in the search engines are off their rocker. 
You can’t promise something like that.  Search engines place you by key words, and by
how popular your site is.  The more people that are linked to you, the more popular your site
looks. It is your job to work on getting people linked to you. Stop by here to read about
